How much does a Ford Ranger cost UK?
How much would it cost to lease a Ford Ranger?
If you're trying to get a sense of how much it would cost to lease a vehicle, we always start by comparing the vehicle itself to the financing of it. This is called the residual value. The residual value of a vehicle is the difference between its actual cash selling price and its financing cost to the seller.
Here's the catch: The higher the residual value the more likely a dealer will finance the purchase because they make more money per car. However, the lower the residual value the less likely a dealer will finance the vehicle because they lose more money per car.
Here's another point to keep in mind. The residual value of a vehicle doesn't depend on the price you pay for the vehicle. It depends on the price the dealer can get for the vehicle after it's financed.25 per point.50 per point. In other words, both the dealer and the buyer made a profit.
As for Example 2, the residual value is negative. Because the residual value was larger than the spread the dealer lost money on the transaction. In addition, the dealer might have been unable to secure financing for a vehicle with such a low residual value.
Is the Ford Ranger affordable?
Yes - and so is the Ford Bronco (with only a little less money to spend, by the way). It's not a very luxurious SUV - but it's definitely a worthwhile purchase.
The new 2024 model of the Ford Ranger, which has a new exterior design that still offers very good fuel economy, a good powertrain lineup, and is built with the new Mazda 3 platform, is here - the all-new Ford Ranger is back! So many other midsize SUVs have been discontinued. The Toyota Tundra, for example, was once among our bestselling models. But the Ranger has hung tough in that segment, and now Ford's midsize truck line has new competitors again. That's good news for people who don't need their trucks loaded down with heavy equipment.
It's easy to imagine that Ford may have gone a bit too far into miniaturization when making the 2024 Ford Ranger; for example, there are fewer windows. Other customers have told us they appreciate the style of the new 2024 Ford Ranger better than that of the prior model - that seems important to keep in mind when comparing pricing. With many midsize pickups being replaced with SUVs or crossovers, there's room for another model to fill the niche.
Ford's most popular truck, though, is still the Ford F-150. The F-150 was introduced in 1974. It quickly proved popular, especially among truck buyers who needed a light duty pickup for work. Ford has continued to tweak it ever since; we recently drove the first-generation Ford F-150 as a test car for the 2024 model year. With an innovative engine that produces a great deal of torque and plenty of power, the pickup segment feels refreshed.
We're interested in finding out if anyone thinks the new 2024 Ford F-150 is worth considering for your next pickup, or if it is not worth considering at all. As part of our long test of the Ford F-150, we drove it extensively, going out on the road hundreds of miles across three states for extensive comparison testing with the Nissan Titan.

Are Ford Rangers reliable?
I don't have much experience with them, but I would assume they are fine. My family owns a pair (2006 and 2024 model) and while the older truck had some issues, I honestly didn't care, as it has a tow hitch which solved the issue. My wife and I both use the newer one, and it is really quite amazing.so it seems to be a decent vehicle. We drive a 2024 Ram with a Hemi V8 diesel (which I'd put up against just about any truck on the road), but the new Ford Ranger makes the old Ram look like the R100D (the truck with two rear axles and five tires). I say it because that's pretty much what my experience is in my own life.
Ford seems to be getting very good reviews about reliability. The problem with the early model (2000 or so) was not the trucks.they actually were excellent. It was the early models for Ford Focus which were built outside of North America, so they did not test under actual climate conditions and used inferior plastics and rubber. When those were modified, the trucks were still great, until the last model year when all were redesigned to more modern standards.
I agree with you.I love my Rangers. The previous owner of my last Ranger told me it had 200,000 miles on it. Mine had 130,000 and it was flawless. I like my truck.it's been nothing but trouble free. I just don't know what a good value it is.I have two of them. As of now, it would cost me more to buy another one, than it is to rent a rental. I have friends in the business who think I'm crazy for renting them.
I don't know where you got the 200k mile figures. They are completely bogus. We had a 2024 Ranger (with about 60k miles on it) that we took on a roadtrip to Canada and back with no problems. That same truck has now 140k miles and the only thing I have done to it is replace fluids. They all break down somewhere. We are looking for another one and have tried to find out the mileage on the others we have owned. Mine says 135k, and my brother's 2024 says 70k. It was also driven mostly in the summer, maybe 80k miles a year. He also had very little mechanical problems (but the truck itself).
