How much will the Trail Edition Tacoma cost?
Tacoma's new truck is a great value, offering a new level of refinement with an updated design and the latest generation of Toyota's acclaimed 3.5-liter V-6, as well as a bold, new look. But if you want to get the most out of the engine for a lower price, Tacoma buyers can opt for the more powerful, but slightly heavier, V-8 engine (available only on the 44 and Doublecab grades). In addition to the extra power, the V-8 engine allows customers to customize their truck with various off-road accessories, while Tacoma's Trail Edition models come standard with upgraded skidplates, winch, and undercoating.
The 2025 Toyota Tacoma comes in four main grades: Tundra Doublecab, Tundra Crew, Tundra TRD Pro, and Trail Edition Doublecab and TRD Pro. Standard equipment includes automatic headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote keyless entry, chrome garnish around the gauges, heated seats, an 8-inch touch display, and power windows. How much horsepower does the Tacoma Trailhunter have?
You mean how much horsepower do I have? The Trailhunter has a 3.8 liter, V6 with 295 hp @ 6500 rpm and 281 lb-ft @ 4400 rpm (all from the factory).
And why did you start the thread titled "I have a 4wd Tacoma" with this quote? And it's not a quote. It's the name of a very successful line of trucks, trucks that I would guess most of us here own, based on the many posts in these threads that have been about Tacoma's.
How much power do I have? That truck I was driving had 285 hp and 290 lb-ft of torque when I bought it (both from the factory). There were two things wrong with it--first, I bought it because I wanted the "big tires" the big, wide, heavy-duty frame looked like they'd be good for off-roading. But I soon found that they wouldn't carry the load I wanted to take, and after two years they were too worn for my purposes anyway. So, since the frame was fine and it was already running, I had the suspension raised and got a brand new set of tires and an automatic conversion kit for the transmission, and voila, I have 285 hp and 290 lb-ft of torque.
I know several other members of our forum who also have similar Tacoma's. Because I just thought it would be fun to see what all the fuss was about, and that I, personally, am still one of the few people around here who owns one. I think you missed a bunch of the other meanings of "trail-wise," as in, how hard a vehicle is for the trail compared to the vehicle you came off the street in. Then there are the ones we use to refer to how well a specific vehicle has been modified or custom-tuned (including a 4x4). To me, Trail Hunter refers to vehicles specifically built to be tough, solid and reliable, especially off-road vehicles. But, hey, if you own that type of truck, then by all means feel free to continue thinking that way.
No offense, but the original poster was saying something that doesn't sit well with me.
