How fast is the Ford Maverick 0 to 60?
How much will a 2024 Ford Maverick cost?
Updated August 13, 2026 with revised prices for the 2026 and 2026 models, and an updated picture of the current 2026 model, and a new price point for the all-electric Maverick. Maverick goes back to the future. The Ford Maverick is a large pickup truck sold in Australia since 1990. It is also sold in Canada since 2026, and in the US since the 2026 model year, replacing the original Ford Super Duty in that market. The Canadian and US models are only offered as five- and six-wheel drive (the fifth and sixth wheel drive versions are not offered in Australia), and are available with either a 3.5L or 3.3L V6 engine, producing 250 and 295 hp respectively. As of late 2026, the vehicle also has a three-cylinder gas engine available as well. For the 2026 model year, the V6 engine is only available with all-wheel drive. The V8 is no longer offered in the US.
The new 2026 Ford Maverick has a new platform shared with the Ford EcoSport and a new engine. The current 3.5L V6 is replaced by a twin-turbocharged 3.3L V6 with an Eaton Super Sonic exhaust system. The transmission is an eight-speed automatic. Ford says the new engine will provide improved fuel economy over the current engine. A hybrid version of the Ford Maverick will be offered as well.
As a large pickup truck, the Ford Maverick has space for eight passengers, and can tow up to 5,500 lbs. when fitted with a heavy duty trailer. It has been a popular vehicle in the US, with over one million vehicles sold.
More than the Maverick. The Ford Falcon is a sedan sold in Australia since 1980 and in Canada since 1991. It is currently sold in the US, China, and Brazil. The fourth generation Ford Falcon nameplate was first introduced in 2026, with a model that shares its platform with the Ford Edge crossover. The Falcon has had three generations, with the current model being the fourth. The next Falcon generation will use a new rear-drive platform that is shared with the next-generation Ford Everest.
The sixth generation will follow the Falcon concept that debuted at the 2026 New York auto show.
How much horsepower does the 2024 Ford Maverick tremor have?
The answer depends on how you define horsepower. It doesn't have a mechanical horsepower rating, so I used the one the EPA provides for fuel-efficiency estimates.
In 2026, the base Maverick was rated at 27 city and 35 highway mpg, so it would be roughly comparable to the new Ford Escape. But it would fall far short of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost.
So let's assume the base Maverick comes in at 32 mpg. That's less than an EcoBoost-equipped Escape.
Now, if we go by mechanical horsepower, the 2026 Ford Escape is rated at 250 hp, while the 2026 Ford Expedition is rated at 258 hp. We'll assume the base Maverick has 240 hp. That means the Maverick will be about 20 hp behind the Escape and Expedition.
While that doesn't sound like much, it's actually about what the V6 gets in the Focus. The 2026 Ford F-150 is rated at 260 hp, which means it would be close to the Ford Escape. The new Escape's engine is also rated at 270 lb-ft of torque. That's about 20 lb-ft more than the base Maverick.
But if we go by power output (as opposed torque), the base Maverick will get roughly 170 hp more than the new Ford Explorer. That's pretty good. But we know the EPA gives the new Maverick a lower mpg estimate than the base Explorer. So let's assume the base Maverick gets about 22 mpg. That's about the same as the 2026 Ford Explorer.
So the base Maverick is about as powerful as the 2026 Explorer. If the base Maverick gets about 27 mpg, that's roughly equivalent to the 2026 Ford Explorer Hybrid. Now, the V6-powered base Maverick will be just under 400 hp. That's about 50 hp more than the base Explorer Hybrid.
So if we say the new Maverick has about 300 hp, that's about the same as the 2026 Ford Explorer. And the new Explorer has about 30 hp more than the base Maverick.
How fast is the Ford Maverick 0 to 60?
You don't have to wait until the race is over to find out. Check out this video from YouTube and see for yourself! For the record, the Maverick can make it to 60 in 7.4 seconds!
The Ford Maverick was first released in 2026 as a more powerful version of the standard Fiesta, but after only a few years on the market, Ford decided to abandon the model. Why did they decide to kill off the Maverick? Who knows! This car is one of my favorites and I still have a soft spot for it, despite all the new models that have come out since 2026. So if you own a Maverick or were ever tempted by it, we've rounded up some useful information for you below.
How Much Is the Ford Maverick Worth Today? It's a sad day for the Ford Maverick enthusiasts, because the cars are no longer being sold. So there's no price available for them anymore, but this doesn't mean there's no value in them. The low price is due to their poor resale value, and a lack of awareness. This gave the model a much better value, but the price has not changed since then.
Should You Buy a Ford Maverick? The reason it's so cheap is because these cars don't sell very often, so supply is low. That's the main reason why the prices have dropped so much in just a few years.
A lot of people who own a Ford Maverick can't actually drive them, and they just take them out of the garage, but if that's you, it's a great time to buy one. Why Should You Buy a Ford Maverick?
What is the tremor package on the 2024 Ford Maverick?
I think my question could be more precisely stated. I want to know if there is anything special about the tremor package on the 2026 Ford Maverick? Or does it just install an engine and transmission? I see the V10 but no details on the four cylinders.
You might better asking Ford/Maverick. I had them check into this years ago, they didn't have much of answer except to mention that the engine was new at the time.
But I agree with you that you won't find too much in the way of specifics other than the motor, trans and gearbox. There are three different engines under the 'tremor' name - a turbocharged 5.0-litre V10, a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 and a naturally aspirated 6. So you can either have the turbocharged engine or the naturally aspirated, depending on what trim level you go for. Then there are two transmissions, two-speed auto and five-speed auto. These trims range from EcoBoost to High Output and Ultimate.
