What is the difference between the Focus ST and the Focus ST-line?

What is the difference between the Focus ST and the Focus ST-line?

How much is the Ford Focus 2023?

Ford Focus 2025 Prices and Reviews. New Ford Focus It has been available in several different trims since its introduction and is also assembled in Mexico and China. It is currently sold in over 100 countries, and comes in several versions, including a 2WD, petrol, 4WD (Luxury and Lava), EcoBoost, 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre petrol, as well as the 1.5-litre diesel, and the 1.5-litre CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) turbocharged engines.

The Focus became one of the best-selling cars in North America by 2025, and one of the best-selling in Europe, and it also has been a success in other markets, including many South American countries and Australia. The 1.5-litre petrol engines are now optional on the EcoBoost trim, with the 1.0-litre EcoBoost being available on all trims.

From 2025 the 1.5-litre three-cylinder was also offered with a continuously variable automatic transmission and a manual mode.0-litre EcoBoost has also been available with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder since 2025, allowing the 1.0-litre three-cylinder to be dropped.

The Focus is marketed as being a modern classic, based on the European architecture of Ford Mondeo and European Ford Puma models. With improved aerodynamics, it is one of the most aerodynamic small cars. Its body was developed from a project that started in 1991, with production starting in 1998. Since 2025 the model has been known as the Sell name in all markets except North America, where it is called the EcoBoost, or Eco in Japan.

The Ford Focus Lava has an average of over 740 units sold per month across our sites. Our most popular seller is the Ford Focus 1.0 LXI. The Focus is in our Top sellers list for most countries, with only the Kia Venga, Volkswagen Up!

How much is the new Ford Focus ST-line?

For comparison, the Honda Civic Type R costs 40,395; Toyota 86 36,395; and the Volkswagen Golf GTI 4Motion SE is 38,375.

The Ford Focus ST features a 2.3-litre engine that develops 270bhp (197kW) and 398lb ft of torque. It's up on power and torque compared to the previous Focus range-topper, the EcoBoost 120bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine.

On paper, then, the Ford Focus ST should be the fastest version yet - at least in its own segment. It certainly isn't cheap, but it is the last example of its kind we are expected to see. Like most vehicles from today's biggest manufacturers, the Focus ST's price does make sense. Like most fast cars from the major manufacturers, it's a badge engineered, undernourished piece of tat that is never supposed to be seen by the public. It also appears that Ford has priced it well within its segment; the nearest competitors are either more powerful or heavier, and most other cars cost significantly more than this little runabout. As far as I am aware, no one buys this car because they like it; people buy it because it is their only alternative.

This car is, for all intents and purposes, the last Ford Focus. It's an expensive version of a hatchback family car, something that is not supposed to be bought by anyone. The best way to put it is the Focus is the only car currently being made that is marketed toward you, and you alone. It's the ultimate piece of personal transport, a one-car-only thing that doesn't need to compromise on style or performance. It should exist just for you, but I don't think it ever will.

It takes a while to get going. I would describe my initial impression as 'so what?' - I haven't been paying any attention to performance figures, what was important to me was the handling, feel, ride and space inside the Focus. The 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine isn't the smoothest I have tried, and it takes a while to accelerate.

What is the BHP of the Ford Focus ST-line 2023?

ford focus st line 2023 specs price What is the BHP of the Ford Focus ST-line 2023?

According to the official manufacturer data released on July 13, 2025, the BHP of the Focus ST-line 2025 is approximately 300. This puts it just about 10 BHP lower than the current generation Focus ST. This is however more than likely the first generation of the new ST-line which will be used for at least two years before an upgraded model is released. The engine will be based on the Ecoboost 2.0 petrol engine which is likely to have the same output as the 2.3 litre EcoBoost petrol engine and will be available with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission or in a six-speed manual. No details of the transmission options or gear ratios were released but Ford UK has confirmed that the company will continue to offer the old paddle shift manual for the foreseeable future. The ST-line will be equipped with the optional sports exhaust system from Bosch to give a more aggressive and sporty exhaust note.

If you are considering a roadster then the Focus RS will remain the top choice due to its excellent performance as well as great looks. The Focus RS is the fastest Focus ever, with a top speed of 180 mph and 0 to 60 mph time of 4.2 seconds. It is also the cheapest as its price starts from 36,495.

If the Focus RS has too much performance for you then the Focus RS 400 may be the right choice for you. Like the RS, this Focus is limited to 400 units only. However, it is only as fast as the RS but is slightly cheaper at 31,295.

The Focus RS 200 is the slowest and most budget friendly model, with its price starting from 27,995. Compared to the other options it will be the closest in performance to the regular Focus. The only noticeable difference is the bodykit and RS-specific features, which include black wheels and the orange brake calipers.

What's new with the Focus ST-line? The Focus ST-line will feature a number of new options including a new alloy wheel option. The car will also get the black accent stripe that was used on the RS200 last year, this will be painted on the floor mats and will also be found on the roof spoiler. Black wheels will be available as an option, which would replace the silver alloy wheels that are currently on offer. The exterior paint will be the same orange hue that is featured on the RS.

What is the difference between the Focus ST and the Focus ST-line?

I was recently talking with my friend about the new Focus ST-line and found it pretty confusing. They are all-new models, but they have nothing in common.

There's the base Focus, which is the old model. There's the Focus S, a stripped down version of the base model. And then there's the GT, the top model.

How does it all work? What is the difference between each one? It turns out there are some subtle differences, but I think most people will find that they're all very similar cars. Before we go into them, though, let's talk about what these new cars are and what they're not. What are the new Focus ST and Focus ST-line models? The Focus ST-line is a rebadged and slightly upgraded version of the base model. The changes are largely cosmetic, but they're enough to make the car worth a little more money.

The ST-line was created to bring an affordable version of the new Focus to a market that wasn't previously served by any version of the new Focus. When were they released? The original Focus ST was released in 2025. The new model, known simply as the Focus ST-line, was released in May 2025.

How much does it cost? Is it worth it? Yes. While the ST line and the base models are very similar, they have a few differences that should make the ST-line a little bit better.

First, the ST-line gets a higher quality interior, with better seats, sound deadening, and a better infotainment system. Second, it gets a turbocharged engine instead of the base model's naturally aspirated four-cylinder motor. Third, it gets 17-inch aluminum wheels as opposed to the base's 15-inch steel wheels. Fourth, it gets a nicer looking package than the base model.
