They will disclose names and numbers of people they sold it to, but they won't reveal the names and numbers of all of the buyers.

I would not want to use such an information source. If you don't want to use something like that, then what you really need is just to get a fair price from someone who doesn't know your situation, the car, and the parts that are on the car. Then you can decide if you want to go the extra mile to make things happen for you.

I would also suggest that you talk with several more dealers to get their opinions on prices. If they start to quote less than you have already been offered, it means that they feel you aren't going to be getting a deal, or that the deal they have given you isn't competitive.
