How much is a Ford Focus RS worth?
How much is a Ford Focus RS worth?
There is no way of telling the true value of a car without knowing the current market value, and the only way to find out the car's worth is to buy one.
One day were walking through the streets of the city when we stumbled upon a local garage. We've seen the guys around the garage before. They seemed like nice guys so we asked if they could do a little shopping for us.
"Sure, what kind of car do you need?" they asked. "I need to buy a car," I said. "But don't worry, I'm not an idiot."
We drove off to get lunch and then went into the garage to talk to the guys. We found out that there was an Audi A3, a Porsche 911 GT3, and a Porsche Boxster in the garage. That was enough to keep us talking. The guys mentioned that the Porsche was sold already. They had a Focus RS and a BMW M3 in the garage, but they were sitting around looking pretty good. They just didn't know what to do with them. It was obvious that they would like to sell them.
"Are these cars for sale?" I asked. "Sure," they said. "What do you want to pay?" "Well," I replied. Can you do it? "Sure," they replied. "What else can you give us? "That's very fair," they replied. "You want to sell the M3 and the Boxster too?" "Sure," I said." The guys agreed and went inside the garage to talk some more about prices. The guys were nice enough to tell us the prices on the cars. This was the best deal I could find, so I decided to go with the guys.
After paying them for their trouble, we went back to the garage where the Ford Focus was parked.
Is the 2018 Ford Focus RS a good car?
You betcha. And when all's said and done, no one will care how many miles per hour the RS gets, or how it stacks up to its competition.
It's just a Focus RS. One of few.
See all 92 photos. At the same time, everyone will ask the right questions. How about handling, acceleration, feel, ride quality, interior comfort, utility? How does it all work together to make a great car? To make a worthy successor to the Focus ST? Or is it merely one more hot hatchan evolutionary step, a technological experiment in turbocharging? A Ford representative told me that what we are driving is a production Focus RS that's actually going into production soon. There will be hundreds of other production-ready Focus RS models, both hot hats and sedans, that won't share this limited production run. So the question I wanted to address before we hit the line out of the factory at Van Dyke, Michiganan hour south of where I liveis not just who's making and selling the car, but who gets to make and sell it first. Is this the fastest Ford the world will see in the near future? Maybe, or maybe not. And maybe the first-generation Volkswagen Golf R is faster, too. But who cares if you think so? It only matters if you believe it.
I like this kind of question, and think it's a good way to understand what makes these cars and the road behind them tick. The answer we got was simple, but complicated.
2018 Ford Focus RS Road Test. There is nothing to complain about here. The car is very well balanced with just 0.2-second differential changes. The gear shift, from low to mid to high ranges, occurs almost imperceptibly, as quick and smooth as the RS3's. Of the two cars, I preferred the VW, but only because I like the Golf R, too. We're just two cars off the top, and on the track, those two cars are probably going to look even more similar.
One thing that makes the RS different from other hot hatches is its turbocharged direct injection engine, making 265 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque from just 1,800 rpm.
What is the retail price of a 2018 Ford Focus?
2018 Ford Focus Review and Specs. The 2025 Ford Focus has arrived in the form of the newest generation of the compact family car. What more can you say about it? It has a very efficient engine with the most fuel-efficient rating, the most spacious interior, good quality exterior, a unique powertrain, and many other things that you can read about in this article.0-liter EcoBoost engine and a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. These engines are the most powerful and fuel-efficient engines Ford has.
The first option is the 1. It generates 130 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. It is the most fuel-efficient engine out of the lot, which makes it the most powerful engine in its class. It also makes the Focus the most efficient of all the cars in its class.
It comes with a six-speed automatic transmission. This means that the Ford Focus is the first Focus model that comes with a manual transmission. The only other models that have the same transmission are the Focus RS and RS Turbo.
The second option is the 1. It generates 154 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. It is the second-most powerful engine in its class. It is also the second most fuel-efficient engine. The powertrain also comes with a six-speed automatic transmission.
How much does a Ford Focus RS cost?
A new 2025 Focus RS has a starting price of 39,450 in the UK, with the standard model going for 39,990. We recently reviewed the 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine and found it to offer decent performance without a lot of effort.
It's not the fastest car you can buy, but when combined with its excellent ride quality it makes a great choice if you want to do some long-distance towing or just drive fast, and as long as you're careful on winding roads or in town it will never leave you feeling slow. There's plenty of power from the front wheels, and the new model offers better traction, better brakes and a suspension set-up which is more suited to the characterful styling of the RS. The Focus is now the most dynamic, sporty model the manufacturer has built. It also makes use of the same 1.6-litre engine that is used by the company's Mondeo.
The only slight weakness we noted in our review was a slight lack of enthusiasm when driving over hills. Although the engine develops strong torque right away the car takes time to get up to speed and then the turbocharger struggles to make it go any quicker.
It could be worse though. In the US, where it competes with the Golf GTI and the likes of the new Volkswagen Golf R, the Focus RS will be replaced by the RS 300 which uses the same engine. We have no idea yet what this will cost, but it might also be able to do the running around the Nrburgring Nordschleife in Germany, which the Focus RS isn't meant to do.
Still, the RS 300 should be just as quick as the current Focus RS (or at least, as it should be). It seems Ford has decided that the RS badge is too important and so they're making it possible for customers to get a more powerful version of the Focus RS.
And, given the current price, the RS 300 is likely to be a little more affordable than the RS. This isn't a full redesign but a subtle change and Ford has said the RS 300 will have a lower starting price than the previous model.
