I know this is an old thread but I would like to see some answers and I would be happy to answer any questions that you may have. I'm selling a 12 year old Ford Fiesta for 1000. I would like to know if it is worth the price tag and if it is I will sell it for as much as I can get. I've already done a bit of research and I know that it's pretty run down inside but the bodywork is still great, the engine is good and it does have a lot of history.

I know that I can sell it for 500 and I will probably get 300 for it but that's not really enough for me to be happy. As far as the actual value of the car, I have a similar model in my garage right now (a 1.3) and it's worth 1100 - 1200 depending on condition.

1000 is a lot of money for a car, unless you're selling it for parts. The engine is worth 800 and the other bits are worth more than that. You'll have to decide how you feel about the car.
