Is the Hyundai Santa Cruz coming to the UK?
How many Santa Cruz were sold in 2022?
The following is an outline of our sales forecast for the next five years.
2022 Santa Cruz production will be 1,600,000 units. We expect that 2023 Santa Cruz sales will exceed the full-year production of 1,600,000 units by a margin of approximately one million units. In 2023 Santa Cruz production will be over two million units. This is because we expect that a higher average price per unit will encourage new buyers to enter the market.
Our forecasts for Santa Cruz sales for the next five years are based on the following assumptions: Price of Santa Cruz will be at current level;. Average price per unit will decline about 25%;. Proportion of cars delivered with a manual transmission will continue at its current level of 60%;. The number of new models introduced in each year will not change significantly from 2018;. The ratio of the number of new cars and new models introduced in each year to the total number of cars and models sold will be the same as 2018;. Price per mile will remain at its current level;. Tax rates on cars will remain at current levels;. Production cost per unit will not change significantly from 2018;. Average age of the cars will not change significantly from 2023. Sales Forecast for 2023. As shown in Figure 4, we expect that Santa Cruz sales will grow by one million units in 2023, compared to the full-year 2023 production of 1,539,000 units. What is the top speed for 2022 Santa Cruz?
With the news that the Santa Cruz has been confirmed to receive an upgrade for 2023, we've now got some new data. The top speed of the SRAM Red 22 is 225.8 km/h (140.2 mph), while the top speed of the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 7200/52 11-speed groupset is 220.7 km/h (136.8 mph).
We're yet to hear what the new bike will be called, but if it's based on the Red 22 design, it should still be good for a few more years before we have to worry about that. The Red 22 will probably be based around a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 7200/52 11-speed groupset, with SRAM Red 22 shifters and brakes. Will you be updating your bike for the next five years?
Is Hyundai making the Santa Cruz in 2023?
This article was originally published on Gear Patrol and is republished with permission. If you could get a better seat at the Santa Cruz 2023 games, Hyundai has a plan to take it out of the reach of most, if not all. The Korean automaker's new sporty-SUV, the Santa Cruz, may be available with standard electric powertrains, Hyundai's first, depending on where you live. It'll be in limited numbers, for sure, but there will be a reason. There's a lot of people who like having the option of being able to make a last-second decision about whether or not to make a purchase, and whether to make it a big decision or not.
If you're one of them, and don't live in a place with plenty of places with electric charging stations nearby, here's what's going on: Hyundai has been planning to release the Santa Cruz with EV variants for some time. Since announcing plans to build electric-powered vehicles for the first time in August 2023, it has slowly been rolling out a new set of details over the past year, giving us a rough idea of when we might be able to actually buy one.
After the announcement of a few different production plans, Hyundai announced last week that it would be making substantial changes to its initial plans a full shift toward a hybrid-electric vehicle. That's good news if you're interested in owning an EV as soon as possible, but you won't be able to order the first ones right away.
It was still too soon, however, for the first-ever Hyundai EV to appear in its dealerships. That's because it needed to have the same exact battery as the Santa Cruz to be sold in those regions. The Santa Cruz comes with a battery pack that delivers only a range of 310 miles, meaning the EV models needed to be delayed until it was ready for market.
But the good news? As an update in June announced, the first three-passenger, all-electric models will finally hit showrooms in July 2023, but only for select markets where charging stations are plentiful, such as in the US, Europe, Canada, Japan, and Korea.
Is the Hyundai Santa Cruz coming to the UK?
That's the long and short of it, according to one of our sources. If there is a car to take Hyundai's name out of Asia, it will be this one, with the Santa Cruz. The next generation of the compact SUV currently sold as the ix20 in Europe, South America and Australasia (at least for the time being) is set to be offered here as the 'Santa'.
It's due to go on sale in the UK this spring, so we're expecting to hear more then. Hyundai Australia told us in March it was considering new additions to its stable, but nothing has materialised yet.
The Santa Cruz is a big hit with consumers. Its key rival, the Kia Sportage, hasn't sold well in Europe, with one of the few success stories the Kia brand.
It goes on sale in Europe in April 2023, with pricing yet to be confirmed. In the meantime, the Santa is available to drive at Hyundai Motor's manufacturing plant in Ulsan, South Korea, while those waiting for the next-gen ix20 have to make do with a heavily uprated version called the Santa ix25. The Santa's styling is similar to the ix25, with a long bonnet flanked by muscular shoulders. The Santa looks less boxy than the ix25 and more dynamic and progressive.
A large air dam is the defining feature of the new car. It's a style cue that's gone from Hyundai's European vehicles in recent years. Other design features include a high-level central grille, quad headlamps, a bolder rear bumper, and an asymmetrical diffuser.
Hyundai's new Santa has had a new body developed from scratch, based on the company's latest Kona (the current-generation Cee'd), as well as the i30. The Santa, as with the Kona, uses Hyundai's second-generation iM-VEV platform. Unlike the Kona, though, the Santa also carries over the same 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine used in the current ix25.
