Is a ram a goat or sheep?

Is a ram a goat or sheep?

How heavy is a ram in KG?

Ok, so I will be buying a new Ram in 3-4 days and I am wondering if this is heavy enough? I think I can lift it up by myself without it hitting the ground. (I think) I plan on doing wall mounting and putting it in my truck bed, but I don't want to waste money. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I also have a question about exhaust. I have a cat back and when I put it in place, the motor seems a little loud? I am assuming that it is because of all the carbon. Should I install an exhaust that will be quiet?

I'm using stock exhaust with no cats. I'm thinking of swapping out the 2.5" pipe for a 3" pipe. Also, would there be a big performance difference between an exhaust that has a bypass valve vs one that doesn't? I could probably get the muffler for free from a wrecker if I had to.

I was just going to say the same thing. Swap out the 2. If you do decide to get the muffler off a wrecker, be sure to get a 3" pipe, or even better, an NOS 3" pipe.

Yea, the NOS exhaust and 3" pipe is a real nice combo. My brother in law gave me his NOS one, but its a 2. I would be mad at him if I got into an accident while he was fixing my truck and I didn't have a backup exhaust.

Are rams bigger than sheep?

My neighbor's sheep have just been hitched up to a new tractor. He's going to leave them on the farm for a week to graze. When I asked if he had the same fence, he said no. He has a large area of ground where his sheep are grazing and a small part where he keeps two goats that graze on the ground. The goats are tied to the fence and the sheep are not.

Does this make sense to you? My understanding is that it is necessary to have the sheep on the same fence as the goats or they will end up trampling the goats. My neighbor does keep his sheep inside the larger pasture because he's worried about being overrun by predators. But since he doesn't use the smaller pasture, he doesn't have a fence there.

If it makes a difference, he has three sheep and a dozen or so goats. Thanks! Steve. Answer: Dear Steve. Thank you for your question. You have asked about the differences between sheep and goats, and I have tried to address the relevant differences. The main thing that is different between sheep and goats is that sheep do not have horns. However, in my opinion, there is more to it than this, but first I will answer your question. Yes, you are correct that if sheep and goats are not kept together on the same fence, then the goats will overrun the sheep, eating them up. Goats are ruminants, which means that their digestive system is much more efficient at breaking down cellulose into useful nutrients than the ruminant systems of other animals. Ruminants are divided into even-toed and odd-toed species. Sheep belong to the even-toed group, and goats are odd-toed.

This difference in digestive efficiency is a very important one. It explains why ruminants tend to consume food quickly, while other animals tend to process their food more slowly, usually in multiple steps. Goats are among the quickest animals to eat and are able to eat grass without it going rancid before they eat it.

There is an old saying that the best indicator of a goat's digestive efficiency is the amount of feed that it eats and the time it takes to eat it.

How big does a ram get?

ram weight kg animal How big does a ram get?

It's a big.well, it's a big damn ram.

I'm not sure what my post title means, but I want you all to know that I love you guys. (I'm a new member, and don't have any other words for how much I love this website. I've been lurking for years, and decided to join up and see if I can find a great group of people who are also interested in rams.)

So, I'm interested in a ram. He has two daughters, and I think they'd be perfect for my home (and him).

They're both currently about 4 years old, and he is currently looking for another to add to the herd. However, the herd of his daughters is getting to be a bit of a problem. They're still pretty small (12-13" at the shoulder, I think) and I'm worried that they'll get too heavy before they're even grown.

Any suggestions on how to go about raising them? Should I go with a female for a mom, or a male? Do you have any idea how to tell what they weigh without taking them to the vet? Does a guy ram get really, really big? I'm wondering if I should be worried about that. So, he's been checking out e-Bay and such. Is there anything that I should look for in one? I didn't realize how big rams get. I guess that's what I'm worried about.

I had no idea what to expect either. We live in a desert, so I thought they would be smaller. I was expecting something more like a goat.

The ram's daughter that I'm currently looking at is 7.5 inches at the shoulder. I'm not sure if that's enough to do the job of keeping her company, but I'm willing to try it.

I've been to our local feed mill, and they can usually tell you exactly how much your ram weighs, but they also tell you how much he'll eat. I'm going to call back this week and find out.

Thanks, everybody! (If anyone wants to answer the question I've just asked, feel free to comment below.

Is a ram a goat or sheep?

I'm thinking of buying a used ram. I want a ram that doesn't have a beard. All the ones I've seen at the local farm has a beard. My last one had a really big beard but is way too large. I was told they are a goat. Can someone tell me the difference?

A ram is a rams kid; a ram kid is a lamb, not a goat. A goat can have either one or two kids. A ram can have any number of kids from one or two up to 15 kids.

I have an American Goat and she has 5 kids: Dawn (a year old). Clancy (just shy of 2 1/2 years old). Jillie (just shy of 2 years old). Kirsten (about 18 months old). Maggie (about 8 months old). She goes to get her kids every morning but I usually go get her on our lunch break. Last month, we were all outside together.

Our house is going to be much colder in the winter. That's why we're looking for a goat this winter. I just got my first goat last winter and she is about half the size of my goat and she only has 1 kid. We'll be ready for two kids again next winter.

My goats, Dawn and Jillie, are a year old and have never had kids. I have 3 American Bison; I think they should count as a goat. You might also be able to tell by their ears. Ram's ears are black with only small wavy lines and little bumps. Goat's ears are greyish brown or brown with larger wavy lines and larger bumps.

The ears usually don't determine if they are a goat or ram but by their size and the horns. Goat's horns are straight up and down, no curve and almost twice as long as a ram's horns. Rambusi has some good information on their site. They sell their horns and sell them here locally. I like getting horned goats over horned sheep.

Another thing to keep in mind is does with horns can be bred by a breeder. So you'll need to make sure you are buying from someone who breeds only does.

The biggest differences are size and horns.
