We had tried calling the Hastings police station several times over the last year, but were unable to get hold of anyone. It was a Sunday and were worried about our two daughters who had been in a crash outside St Leonards and were hurt. When we rang the Police station (in England) we were put through to Hastings who promised to send an ambulance to the scene of the accident. By the time this arrived, our daughter was dead and it was too late to do anything. We were told that there were no witnesses and that this was not a high end case and that as far as they could see, our daughter had died from the impact and nothing more. The policeman said that they would not have any charges. Hastings police will not accept any case without evidence. Please call them if you can to ask how often they get called. How can something like this happen in Hastings? They are supposed to serve and protect us all

Answer. I have worked for the police for over 30 years, in the west of Scotland. The job of a police officer is about protecting the innocent. So it is important for us to see that you are treated fairly when someone has been involved in an accident.

Hastings Direct seem to be a real step up from eBay. The price is the same and they have a live chat option (on the phone not via this forum) where I have bought from. Also, the product arrived within a few days and it was in perfect condition. It's also cheaper than Amazon.com.

Thanks for that, I guess it depends if you know someone who has it. Personally, I don't know anybody who does live chat. The only live chat I ever saw were when I was buying stuff from them, and now and again I'd call them, but I'd get put on hold after a while.
