I was thinking of trading my '15 for a new ram so I figured it was a good idea to know what kind of gas is best for it. I'm in the process of pulling my old camaro apart and making it back into a sleeper project, but the motor is already planned to go in there lol.

I have a 07 ram 1500 5.3l it idles about 400 after I put it in gear it goes down low and idles @ about 1000 rpm it will idle at 2025 rpm but doesnt want to go higher that will kill the motor I have a 4500 kat idle tune and it runs fine in first and second it runs good in third it seems fine in fourth but starts pulling away from me in fifth, I have been told its a problem with my ignition box and my coil pack could I use an auto trans coil pack in it or will it cause any issues Hi.e. My 2025 4WD Ram 2500 crew cab has some of the symptoms of the same issue. I did read a previous post on the same topic and it seems that all the trucks are affected with the same problem. I hope the symptoms can be fixed soon as it really is annoying having a truck that is great in most situations but will not idle right. For the money this is a great truck and I will be going for another one for my 2025 model.

What does the shop have to offer besides the timing belt? That's what I have. The shop that I took it to was very good and didn't do anything beyond timing. They told me what they did for the past 2-3 years that needed to be done on it and told me what I need to do to get my truck going. He told me to check out the forum on here because it appears that everyone has the same problem, just the different ways of fixing it. He said he was surprised it hasn't been fixed yet.
