Ford SUV Edges into Europe

The car giant has been producing and selling it's 5 door SUV the Ford Edge in the United States since 2007, but after experiencing steady growth of their SUV offerings in the EU since 2005, are now developing a version for the European automotive market. Unveiled at the weekend at the LA Auto Show, the large SUV is just one of over 20 new models that Ford has planned to unleash on the European car buying public over the next few years.
With demand high for SUVs throughout the globe, European sales have risen by around 12% over the last seven years. Ford is looking to tap further into this market, with it's European Edge offering features popular amongst the continental crowd. The carmaker is expecting it's sales of SUVs to rise by more than 20% in the next few years with the help of it's new model.
The Edge is packed with modern technology, and offers fuel efficiency in all it's trim levels. The latest gadgets, such as driver assistance systems driven by sensors, assisted parking aids and obstacle avoidance systems will all feature in the Edge's shimmering shell. One to look out for.
