Will Cazoo survive?
I was just thinking about this one the other day. A few of my friends, including me, have had to quit the game because of time. I think it's going to be hard for us to get back in. It's just a really deep game. If you get into the story, you want to keep going. I haven't quit anything before. In other games, I would feel like I did something wrong by quitting. But not in WoW. I've been playing it for 4 years now and I can't imagine going back to my life without that game in it. It's just too deep. And I don't mean this as a negative thing.
I just hate that it's not on the level of games like Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger. Those are games I could walk away from without feeling like I had wasted my time. But in WoW, I would feel like I had wasted my time. I'm sure if I got back into it I would start losing more and more time again. I hate that. I don't want to feel that way. It's bad enough I quit in the first place.
I think I would be able to walk away from WoW without too much trouble. I had to get out of college in May, and I was working 3 jobs, going to school full-time, playing a lot of WoW, playing online poker, and I was on the verge of having a mental breakdown. I had no life. My life revolved around WoW. I could have quit WoW months ago, and I probably should have, but I kept coming back. I couldn't go two weeks without playing WoW. I had to come home and play WoW, or I would have a bad day. Even though it was bad, I was happy to have those bad days, because they meant that I was doing something I loved. So I stayed with it.
Then the summer hit, and I went from getting 2-3 hours a night of sleep, to getting 5-7 hours, and my life was back to normal. And then, last week, I stopped playing WoW for a while. I was busy, and I wanted to be a better person. So I did a lot of things to try to better, and I was.
What happened to cazoo?
I love you. It's the best thing I've ever been able to say to anyone in my life. I don't want to believe that this is the last time I'm going to be able to say it.
What did I say to him? I didn't have a chance. It wasn't like I could make any sense of what he was saying. "It's okay, buddy," I had said, and just then the world exploded.
I was in the ground. I was on the bottom of the sea. I was on the edge of time. I was on the far side of the universe. I was where the dead go to come back to the living, and I was surrounded by things that were both alive and dead.
They were speaking with me. I could hear them talking, they were speaking in language that I didn't understand, but as they spoke, I realized that the things they were talking about were real, they were really there, they were living, and I understood.
This was life. This was the world that came after life.
"Hey," I said, "I'm right here." They seemed to laugh at me. But I could see why. "Hey," I said, "look, it's you. You're alive."
A hundred billion things rushed through me. "So what are you doing down here? "Oh man, you really don't know?". "I don't know." "We're waiting for the end of everything." "The end of the world?". "Yeah, or the end of life as we know it." "That's a bad day. I hope that doesn't happen."
"Yeah, me too." "Do you miss life when you're dead?". "What do you think? Maybe I do." "Look," I said, "we're all just waiting around for the big moment." "I suppose we are. How do you know?" "I just do." "You really have no idea?". "No idea." "Do you know what it means when somebody dies?". "Why don't you tell me?". "We know where everything is.
What is the most popular car site in the UK?
If you want to sell your car, what's the best place to do it? Google, where most people start their journey. Or Autotrader, probably the second most popular. Now it might be time to take a look at the one that everyone doesn't know about - TheCar.uk.
Why should you pay attention? They started in the same year as Google and have just launched their own new service. A quick search tells me that the site has been around for 5 years and now boasts 14 million registered users (and growing fast). Not bad.
The basic idea is that it is an online classifieds site. And there are lots of different ways you can use it to find a new car. You could find a cheap buy and sell. Or a high quality low mileage one. And you can also sell privately, making sure that you get the best price and conditions.
You can sell through ads or by auction. And there's also a classifieds exchange where people can trade cars and swap information about cars and sellers.
So how is this site growing so quickly? Well firstly, let's take a look at their user base and see if we can spot any patterns. So it looks like a lot of cars are being sold through this site. But it doesn't look like they're selling to a huge number of UK buyers. In fact they've got fewer than 100,000 registered members in the UK. That's not many, but what's more important is that this is only a fraction of the number of active users.
Let's take a look at some recent searches. This is from two days ago: This search was performed on a Saturday evening, between 5pm and 7pm. It shows one seller and 3 vehicles.
Of course, people don't always search at the times when the highest volumes are on, so if I was searching at the wrong time, then I'd expect to see far fewer results. But there are still 6 pages of results. And what does that tell us? A few things.
First, there's a lot of demand for used cars at that time. But this tells me that there is no shortage of used cars.
