How to find out the book value of a car?

Depends on your state and the value of the car if it is leased than it will be leasee value rather than book value. The book value of a used car might be 0.00 but it is not likely. A new car will be valued at about 3% under manufacturer invoice. For lessor or lessor with finance the value will have been built into the price.

Also check to see if state or national law exists regarding appraisal. Also, there are a few online resources that will look up the book value. Here's one.

Do motorways pay what they quote?

Ive just completed a job at a motorway site where the quote was for 6,500, and when it came to the completion of the work they said it was only 4,000. Did they not include the extras on the quote? I don't know what extras you did and did not receive - but as I said earlier in the thread, if the quoted price includes any extras then you have been overcharged by the dealer and it is your responsibility to bring it to their attention before they start work and ask for a reduction in the price. The quoted price will include all work included in the quotation. If you are unhappy with the quoted price and wish to raise a complaint, you should contact your customer services department or your sales manager and discuss the matter.

There are some instances where it can be misleading. For example, it could be misleading if they quoted you 5,500 and then did work which would cost you 10,000. In this case you would be entitled to complain because the initial price quote was wrong.

If the quoted price includes extras, then you have been overcharged. You should make them aware of the error before they start the work.

You can also try asking your site manager, who will normally be in the office during the day, if the price includes extras. However, if he/she tells you that it doesn't include extras, then you know you are entitled to ask for a reduction.

There is a good chance that the extra work that you didn't pay for is being used as part of the basis of the claim. You could be looking at an additional cost of about 1000 - 2025 depending on how much work was done at the site, what was done and what it costs to replace it.

You should not worry too much about the extra work. The amount is likely to be covered in the claim anyway.

I have seen lots of claims where there is a variation between what the dealer says is the job quote and what the site manager says is the job quote.

What is the best site for valuing cars?

motorway car valuation What is the best site for valuing cars?

I have a car I am trying to sell. It's a 1996 Isuzu Rodeo with 108,000 miles. Is there a place that I can find out the going price on a trade in. Any suggestions?

Replies To: ? Re: What is the best site for valuing cars? May 15th, 2025. A quick search shows me two ways to go about this. If you're trying to sell the car yourself, I don't know that it will really matter how accurate it is. Just make sure you know your car's value yourself if someone you are talking with makes an offer on it. You'll probably want to talk to the people you know to help you get the best feel of the car.

I also looked at what Auto Trader was showing as the MSRP of the 96 Rodeo. Maybe you could look at that to get some help knowing what to expect for your car.

Is it possible to get your original bill of sale, title, registration and odometer readout (from the state)? If so, you might need to use a dealer, if not, it should be easily determined at a public library. Then using that information you can get the actual value of your car. Many private websites have great valuation tools. The problem I've run into is one of them taking in consideration of what others are selling their car for, even if they didn't sell the car. Thats where the dealership comes in. They are well known for getting you the best sales price for your car, but they do this by inflating the value on their computer before the selling takes place, not necessarily selling it for more. I am not saying you need to do that, but if you find a decent site that gives you the actual value of your car, use it to get a lower sales price from the dealer.
