Which is the best car to buy 2nd hand?

I'm a student and I'm on a budget, but can't afford to purchase an expensive car. My requirements are that it has to be safe, reliable and cheap, so that's why I have narrowed it down to the following: Kia Sportage. Ford Focus 1.6 ST-Line Ford Fiesta 2.0 ST-Line BMW 3 series 1.6 M130 Buick Verano 1.8T Volkswagen Golf 1.2 TSI Ford Mondeo 2.0 CRD My questions are as follows: How good is the Kia? Are there any cons that I should be aware of? Is the Ford Fiesta (1.6 ST-Line) a good option? Is the Buick Verano good enough? Which car is good value for money? Lastly, how important is mileage on cars and what are the best indicators of mileage? Hi @dylanlm,I don't know if Kia offer any warranty on their cars. But, I suppose you might get lucky. All the other cars listed here are well liked and should get great reviews from the people who buy and sell them online.I would go with the Ford Fiesta 1.6 ST-Line) It is a bit small, so it might not be for everyone but it will suit your needs perfectly. Just be careful when you purchase the car from the dealer. Make sure you pay them a decent price.Good luck.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a 2023 Kia Sportage LX from a dealer in East London. I had a quick look at the interior to make sure I was happy with what I was getting and I am delighted with the car. The car is a little on the small side for me, but for a student like yourself it is ideal. It is reliable, safe and easy to drive. The only con is that the rear boot doesn't lock and it takes some practice to fit the key correctly, which is annoying. For the most part though it is a very good car. I was quoted 10,300 on the phone and that included the VAT. A couple of weeks later, I got an invoice for 10,330 and it also included the VAT.
