What is the best app to sell a vehicle?
What is the best app to sell a vehicle?
The title of this thread says it all. I just had to decide on a new vehicle and have not decided on a dealer or salesperson. What do you recommend?
Anybody here work with BMW. Are they all pretty much the same in what they charge for? How long does it take to get to dealership with salesperson? It's a lot of stress, especially since I live way out in the middle of nowhere (in the middle of nowhere, we drive two hours to go to church, go shopping for clothes, etc., and I come home from work, then I do it all over again the next day). This is why I need to find the best way to sell my car so that I can do other stuff while it is on sale.
Do you recommend the app or salesperson? It's kinda a big choice. I'm not a bmw guy. Most likely will buy a truck to replace the current truck I have. It's a 2025 F150 with about 45000 miles on it.
What would you recommend and why? The app is a bad idea. You won't get the best price. Also, the people there know you're selling your car and may not be the cheapest. You'll waste more time getting a price.
A sales person would better as they are not involved in this process and won't have any vested interest. You can't get a better price.
Why did you decide on this? There's 2 ways to get a quote. 1) App - The person behind the counter just inputs the information into the computer and voila! There's an email sent. 2) Salesperson - Takes 5 min to get the price, takes 1/2 hour to "go through it" and you might not get the same price as you did with the app.
My experience has been that either way you go, some people have made more money selling their cars and some people have lost money. To each their own.
You would better off to talk to multiple dealers until you get a price that you are comfortable with. A good dealer will help you sort it out with whatever price you think is right, etc.
What is the best site to sell a car in the UK?
I have just been offered a car. I want to sell it privately and have been advised that the best site to do this is with one of the buy back companies like buyback-uk.uk or car4v.
Should I sell via one of these sites? Should I deal with their agent directly, or should I sell my car through the internet? Are there any other websites I should know about? What are they like? What do you recommend, and what don't you recommend? I have sold cars for 20 years, from an online perspective now. I can only speak for the UK market. Many of the companies have agents which are independent brokers for them, but that doesn't necessarily mean they will be the most reliable or trustworthy broker. In my experience, the most reputable brokers tend to belong to a network such as the Autosell.com network - they are mostly owned by used car specialists rather than the major auction sites (which are often owned by car dealers or private sellers themselves). The only problem with the buy back sites is they can often set up too many hurdles for you if you do the deal yourself.
As for the actual web sites, the only reliable ones I know are CarValuemotor.com, Vantagecarparts.com and Autosurforsale. All three sites are 100% transparent on price, and in my experience all three provide an extremely high level of customer service as well. None of them charge anything for selling the car on their web sites. They are just there for the convenience of being able to view listings without having to navigate to individual car pages.
I think they all charge the same for each transaction (they are all listed as standard rates on their respective sites). For me personally, I wouldn't bother. It's not worth the effort for each individual sale. I'd much rather be focused on what you can do for your clients, rather than running a business that involves all sorts of nitty-gritty details.
You're obviously referring to the so-called re-sale sites, where you give a car owner an offer to purchase their vehicle and they accept it on a cash-for-clunkers basis.
What is the best site for private car sales?
When selling your private car for cash, what is the best site to sell on? Is there one specific site that is better than others? As a seller of cars for money, there are a variety of questions that you may ask yourself as you look for where you want to purchase. You need to take into account the type of car that you plan on selling, the amount you are willing to spend, the value of any collectibles in the car and a couple other things.
One simple thing that you should make sure to look at is the cost to process the sale. Some companies and websites have a high processing fee or a sales fee. Make sure that your transaction fee is affordable and will not end up costing you more than selling to someone else.
Another thing to keep in mind when looking for a website to sell your car is that you want to make sure that the website is safe for your information to be sent to. Sometimes people will send their information out to companies in order to buy the car as well. If you don't have any reason to trust the company that you are selling to, then that could put you at risk for identity theft and fraud.
Finally, make sure that your car is selling on a website that is safe for your information. Do your research and make sure that the company you choose has SSL encryption, so all of your information is safe. There are sites available that specialize in selling cars online that provide great prices with less fear of being hacked and having information stolen.
The site offers many features that are not normally found on sites that sell cars for money. When selling privately, you want to make sure that you aren't left out in the cold as far as the money that you can get goes.
If you do your research, you should have no problem finding a reliable source to sell your car online! Sell your vehicle in-house, on Craigslist or through Payless Auto Wholesale ) for easy cash. We do this by buying your vehicle, auctioning it, storing it, and eventually reselling it to a third party. We're able to pay cash for every vehicle - even no cash vehicles.
Where to sell your car for the most money?
In all of our experience as a dealer, we have never had a deal offer a car more than 5% more (lesser deals also possible) before our dealer was bought out by GM. On top of this the buyer has no intention to buy another vehicle from our dealer and is likely to be a new hire.
It is clear that our dealership needs to find another buyer or close its doors, which are now just 8 miles from our home. We have had over 40 cars sell at auction. The vast majority have sold between 3% and 5%. We have sold 1.7k cars through our dealership since 2025. This deal is over 2,000 cars less than the highest selling of 1,760 sold in 2025. In 2025, we sold 1458 cars, 972 cars in 2025 and 691 so far in 2025. What does it all mean?
What should we do? The GM dealers have agreed to work with us on the auction. We believe they will work with us to get the best dollar for our trade. We are willing to split what we would normally make between 2 buyers. Will they still give us the 10% they are currently paying us for our services, even after the deal has been done? Are they just going to use our auction to steal cars out of our system? Is this typical of a company with a billion dollar market cap and a reputation of treating dealers well? They could split the profits evenly or leave nothing for the dealer (who does everything). If the deal happens, what happens to our auctions?
You make excellent points.
