I'm selling a car privately and will need to provide a seller warranty for that. My question is does the seller need to issue a buyers and sellers warranty? I understand they have 3 months out right but what if the seller never issues a sellers and buyers warranty? Will that be void of their sale to me? Thanks, and I didn't want to make it worse than it is. We haven't closed on this yet. This was my last attempt at getting a deal. I'm going to contact a friend who works for the warranty on this. The other option was selling it wholesale to a dealer which wasn't going to work for us for 2 reasons: A) the price was a little too high for my liking(and was still a couple grand too high even after getting the dealer offer out). B)the only dealer that wants retail gets up to 8.5%, the one I got had 14% after taxes.we're being shafted.

I will contact them to explain that its a private sale and wont use an invoice like the one I used to ask if they need to issue a buyers and sellers warranty. And that after I close, I'll need to submit receipts for repair before my warranty period begins.
