Used UK vehicles in demand abroad
The current export boom is seeing used vehicles from Britain being sent all over the world, at vastly inflated prices. For example, recent sales have included a 4-year-old Audi A4 TFSI 120, valued at about £7,145, and sold abroad for £15,400. Another example is a 6-year-old Citroen C8 110 Exclusive sold for £5,600, which is around twice it's £2,880 value in the UK.
So many used cars are currently being exported, that shortages of many popular models have been reported, and this in turn is also pushing prices up. The boom is also not just confined to the car market. Motorcycle and truck suppliers and retailers are also seeing rising numbers of their stock going to export.
Locations such as New Zealand, the Falkland Islands, Africa and Indonesia are apparently paying ridiculous prices for used vehicles from the UK, so perhaps now is the time to sell your current car and upgrade to a new one?
