I dont know if it would be as straight forward as selling a car and having cash handed over, because you have to wait for the next payment. There could be a waiting period after selling a car for the buyer to make their next payment before they receive their payment, especially if they have got other debts, like a mortgage.

I do know that when I sold my car, I was paid in cash straight away and then the new owner received the loan, which they had to pay back to me. It depends on the buyer. If the buyer needs more time to pay, then no. I think we have all been in this situation where the bank wants the cash up front, so they can clear the loan quicker and make a profit.

If it's your car and you're only selling it because you have no more use for it, then yes, it's OK. I'd be wary of selling cars with a high mileage. If the buyer is on low income, they may struggle to make the payments and it could be a problem.

You can try to sell to someone who will pay instalments, like a friend who is doing a business course, or perhaps the local garage. I would not advise you to sell a car to any of these people as it is an unprofessional approach.
