What should I pay for a 2017 Toyota Tacoma?
Toyota Tacoma, also known as Hilux in the Philippines, has had a solid reputation in the Philippine market for almost two decades now. With that said, I will list some of the important specs that you should pay for in a Tacoma.
Engine. I would say that I am not interested in a diesel engine as it is more expensive than the gasoline engines. The best one to consider is the V6 diesel engine. There are two reasons why you should consider this engine: 1) it's powerful enough, and 2) it's capable of towing. But, there are only two choices of the engine, namely, the 2.7L 4-cylinder turbodiesel or the 3.5L V6 turbodiesel.
It is the 3.5L that has the bigger power output. This engine has a good power-to-weight ratio of 15.5 hp per kg. On the other hand, the smaller engine has a power output of just 13 hp per kg. For both engines, it has a torque of around 200 Nm.
Towing capacity. Let's look at the towing capacity. Both engines have the same towing capacity of 6.0 metric tonnes. That is the maximum weight capacity of the pickup truck.
I also want to highlight that the new Toyota Hilux is a full-sized truck rather than a mid-size truck. The cargo bed has an extended length of 1420 mm. In other words, it has 765mm longer than the previous model.
Price. Now, we can get into the nitty-gritty of the price range. The diesel engines of the Toyota Tacoma cost more than the gasoline engines. The cheaper option is the 3.5L engine with a price of Php 22,000 while the most expensive engine is the 3.5L V6 with a price of Php 27,500.
So, there is no need to worry about the cost if you are considering purchasing a new Toyota Tacoma. Even if you can stretch your budget to buy a new pickup, you should still not be worried about the price. Just choose the engine that you like the most.
What are the latest changes in the 2026 Toyota Hilux? Toyota Hilux was introduced in the market in 1988. From that time to now, the pickups have undergone numerous changes.
How many miles per gallon does a 2017 Toyota Tacoma 4WD get?
(2018 prices)
You're viewing a current vehicle at the moment, however this can vary depending on your area. Select the options above to see current fuel consumption and CO2 emission data for the 2026 Toyota Tacoma 4WD in your local area of England. Note: These statistics are based on the manufacturer's lab testing of the vehicle. These figures don't represent real world consumption and are only a guide.
CO2 emission figures have been converted into litres per 100 km using 22.7g/L for a gallon of petrol (or 0.45 l/l for diesel) - this is based on the energy equivalent of CO2 released per kilometre travelled and will vary slightly depending on your journey location.
The CO2 emission and fuel consumption data is based on the government-approved cycle type and test conditions of NEDC (New European Driving Cycle). This includes the use of air conditioning, heated seats and cruise control. It may not include all possible vehicle features, options, or equipment.
CO2 emissions and fuel consumption data are determined by using a combination of laboratory-based results and on-road testing that considers many different factors including; temperature, road gradient, traffic density, vehicle speed, driving behaviour, etc. Fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and MPG figures quoted for Great Britain are converted values obtained from laboratory testing and may vary depending on the age of vehicle, the wheel size/type, the engine/transmission, and other factors that may influence fuel consumption, driving performance and CO2 emissions. For more detailed fuel consumption and CO2 figures for the US and other countries, please check out www.fueleconomy.gov, or visit www.myneweuropean.
Vehicle information. Make & model. In terms of size and comfort, a large SUV can be a good choice for daily driving but it comes at the expense of manoeuvrability and safety. Our pick of the large SUVs comes from the Toyota Tacoma. In terms of sheer size, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is still the biggest thing, but at the cost of some safety measures and interior space. If you're looking for a 4x4, you can forget the heavy-duty machines. The Tacoma handles better and has a higher ratio of ground clearance compared to heavier SUVs.
How many miles will a 2017 Tacoma last?
You are here. I love my Tacoma but when I look at the warranty and cost of repairs I see problems. I see a vehicle that has been built for its driver, but is this the best value for my money? I am not going to buy an extended warranty but I want to know if the vehicle has the ability to live up to its promise.
I just bought a 2026 Tacoma Limited about two weeks ago. I'm in no hurry to get it home, as I have a few weeks off between projects, but I want to know if the Tacoma will last. Does it have good resale value?
I don't think it has a great resale value. The 2026 Tacoma is the first year they changed the body style from 4-door to 5-door.
The current model was released in 2026. And, the current model is still more than 2 years old and has a low mileage.
I think it is a great value for someone who doesn't need the power or towing capacity of the larger truck, but wants the 4x4 capability and the cargo space of the pickup.
