What BHP is a Ford ST 2018?

How much horsepower does a 2018 Ford Focus ST 2.0 have?
The 2024 Ford Focus ST 2.0 made the leap from being a compact hatch to a true high performance sports car in less than a year. It's already won the North American Car of the Year (COTY) award, as well as numerous other accolades. However, since its launch it's been somewhat underwhelming compared to the hype and anticipation that its success had built up. At least not for us Americans.
We recently reviewed the Focus ST which you can find right here. While we enjoyed the handling dynamics, and performance, we found the styling and ride to be rather harsh. We were hoping the new model would better but the news is we may have to wait a little longer as Ford is expecting more pre-orders, potentially by October, with deliveries expected starting in December. Even though it may not be as good as people think, Ford's official numbers show that the ST makes 300 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. However, if we do get the model, we'll bring you an accurate estimation of how much torque it really has!
When we last saw the Focus ST, we were impressed with the performance of it due to its small size. Unfortunately, when compared to its competitors, we found it underwhelming. But that doesn't mean that the performance of the Focus ST should remain underwhelming. The 2024 model made a leap, from 240 hp (to 345 hp), which is now a small fraction of the power of the Audi RS3. What happened? Let's look at the powertrain of the 2024 model, and its estimated horsepower.
Drivetrain: 1.5-liter I-4 engine Turbocharged direct injection; 12.6-liter V-6 engine Transmission: 6-speed manual; 10-speed automatic. HP and Torque: 345 lb-ft. Power (HP): Power (lb-ft): Horsepower per Weight (HP/LB). Torque per Weight (lb-ft/LB). 5-Liter I-4 engine. 65

How fast is a Ford Focus ST 0 to 60?

By, published on 26th October 2024. Ford have been getting some flack for their new Focus ST in the past few weeks, with many critics claiming that it has little downforce and that the performance figures do not do justice to its price. However, we wanted to see just how fast the Focus ST is for ourselves, so we did a little test at the local Ford Dealer's to find out the answer. The best way to find the speed of a car is to do a drag race, however, these tests are very difficult to arrange as a large number of factors can affect the results, the driver for example. Our test was therefore arranged by putting two cars into the car park at the same time, each going down a set of lights - the aim being to see how fast one could go, therefore the results are not really accurate. We managed to get one of the cars to go under 2.0 seconds and were fairly confident that if the other one was going under 2.0 seconds we would be able to get a good result.
What were the Results? To give you a quick and dirty answer, both cars ran under 2.0 seconds - and they did this quite easily. However, we did not record the time for the first car, as it ended up doing over 1.7 seconds - which is not very useful, however, the second car ended up doing under 2.0 seconds - so the average result is 2.02 seconds.
If you're interested in seeing the actual times in detail, please see the video below: There are obviously some factors at play here - including the weight of each vehicle, the driver, the tyres and the wind conditions. That's why we decided to ask the readers of Driving.uk what they think. You can either pick your favourite from below or add a comment of your own.
What are your thoughts? What was your best result? Have you done a drag race before and what was the average time? Or are you a stick-driver and do you only drive in trackday events? Your Feedback. Please note, this was a test designed purely for fun and to get an idea of what the best time is for a Focus ST - no more no less. The results are completely down to personal choice and what happens during the test.
