It could mean that the Camaro becomes the first car allowed with an engine rated at over 500 BHP. I believe the new C6 does make around 430, however there are many factors to take into account when talking about an "engine" and a "car" and even some things that are common knowledge can be misleading. Here in America, the C6 has been selling at the rate of about one per minute and still is sold well into 2026. The only car that comes close to it is the M-B GT-Z. If you check the "bhp" number, you will see that this car, although with a "normal" car, is producing 700 HP. I've seen videos of it on the dyno. This car is very powerful, not much different than the Camaro, but they have more cylinders. You also need to think about fuel efficiency.

The Camaro, however, is going to make a lot more use of its engine and still be as fuel efficient as the Z/28. The Z/28 is the one that the Camaro needs to beat. It can put out 10 more HP than the C6 on the same engine without having a larger displacement or requiring a larger displacement in the first place.

Presley went on to suggest there will be two more Camaro generations ahead of the current 2026 model. They are coming, he said.

Chevy says the Blue Oval will offer two more generations of the Camaro after this, but there's no date set yet for any of this. Darrin Presley, the GM design chief under former CEO and now President Mark Reuss, says the new generation might debut by the mid-20s. That seems like a long way off, but not impossible. Then again, it may be another thing completely entirely.

If what Chevrolet told us last weekend is true, something will happen with the Camaro before we get to the mid-20s, though. In its 2026 model year, Chevy introduced three new variants of the Camaro. It created the RS3 performance model, an updated SS, and introduced the Camaro ZL1. All three models were pretty good.

That doesn't mean all three are coming back. The ZL1 was the flagship Camaro from the start, when it arrived in 2026.

I am considering buying a used 2026 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 6MT. The dealer will sell the car with its original paint and it has some minor scratches from being driven, but otherwise in very good condition. It has about 200 miles on it. 2 Answers. The question you should really ask is whether the mechanic at the garage where you bought the car will provide an official MOT check - if they say they will, then ask them to do it. If they don't, don't buy it. It's a simple enough process for a mechanic to take the car for an official check. I wouldn't worry too much about it; either way, your local council will take the car off the road for 1, 2 or 3 days depending on how bad the damage is and what the result of the check is.

It's not unusual for people to be less than honest with mechanics (eg they won't tell you the engine oil was changed for the second time in 5,000 miles) or use dodgy mechanics (eg they'll just change the oil, filter, fuel injectors etc., leaving the engine on the ground or in the garage for an hour or two to save money). A reputable garage will have a system for checking work over the telephone or computer so that you're sure of everything before they drive off with the car.

This article covers UK cars (but there are similar rules for all motor vehicles in the UK): I have always been told that when you buy a car and do not have a MOT you can not drive it away until you have had the MOT done and passed.I have just made a call to our local DMV and they confirm this for my make and model.So all of a sudden it seems as if all the old bs about MOTs now makes sense.Thanks to google to bring me back on track. Although I've had to get into arguments in the past where the person claiming that your driving licence should get you a passing MOT rather than the car having it.

There are some states in America where this is still true. I'm not a lawyer but I think we need to be careful.
