Hertz add 'luxury' cars to their rentals

If you've always thought of rental cars as utilitarian but otherwise uninspiring, think again, as car hire firm Hertz announces it has added numerous luxury brands to it's roster, along with high performance vehicles too.

If you've ever wanted to rent or borrow a supercar for a week or day, then now you can, as the car hire company now offers favourites such as the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and the McLaren 12C on a rental basis. Sporting gorgeous looks and engines that would make Clarkson drool, such vehicles can break the 200mph barrier, and usually cost over £180,000 each.

But there is still more to chose from in the high-performance stakes, with the Maserati GranCabrio, the Aston Martin Vanquish and the Lamborghini LP570-4 Performante Edizione Tecnica are also available from Hertz outlets. If a more luxurious vehicle is more up your street, then cars such as the Porsche Cayenne and Cayman, the Range Rover Sport and the BMW X6 have been added to the firm's rosters.

The President of Hertz International, Michel Taride, commented that they wish to make sure that any customers using their rental supercars get a great deal and experience no matter what they are using their vehicle for. He went on to state that he expects such vehicles to be rented for a variety of reasons; a special occasion or celebration, a simple thrilling experience, being an enthusiast of the car but not having the money to own one, for impressing potential business leads, the list goes on.

He added "We are delighted to introduce a number of new high end models to our supercar range in Europe for our customers worldwide who want to enjoy a taste of the high life".
