Is it illegal to buy a full size pickup here in the UK? I'm in the process of ordering a new Tacoma online. I was told that there is a chance it might not come here due to the higher import tax that we have here. I really don't like buying something illegally, and I wouldn't consider it a crime if I bought this truck. What happens?

It should be no problem, unless you're talking about the bed length, then you may need to think about that. A little more information would help, but 8' seems to be a bit short for a typical Tacoma. I love the Tacoma. However I had no idea that a Tacoma was as big as 5'0". I had an F-150 with a 6'4" bed and it only took 2 of us to get to the back row. The Tacoma really does require that much driving room to hold everyone on a family trip. I know the Tacoma is kind of a small 4x4 and that is why I bought it, I wanted one that really fits my family and has lots of room for cargo.

My family loves this rig with the 3'6" bed. I got it last summer. With 4x8 wheels it can barely fit in my garage with a 1'0" opening. It sits right up to the door, maybe an inch or two over. We don't fit if the truck isn't parked up against the wall, but it gets it done.

The Tacoma is a bit small from a practical perspective, but it does have a lot of storage space. The bed is pretty deep though. About 6.5" and the floor can be folded flat if you need more (which you usually don't).

For some people though, it really makes sense to have an even bigger pickup for a number of reasons.
