How much to transport a car 200 miles in the UK?
Can I call the AA to tow my car?
My car is a 2026 Buick Century 2.3 Turbo with the 4 cylinder, V6 transmission and I would like to move it somewhere else. It will probably take around 3-4 days or more. Can I call the Auto Club (if they offer the tow service) and use my current auto club membership ID/number to get a free tow?
I understand that AA can't just come out and take my car for me since it's an old car. I'm not going to do it myself. I don't want to get it towed on a Sunday since I don't need a tow anyway.
If my car is totaled, will I be charged for towing? Hello, I am in the same situation as the person I replied to. My car was towed on a saturday so I called for a jump. Now that I know it can't be done I am very upset. I know this sounds stupid but if they are in business why not make the charge refundable. I have a lot of medical bills and I could lose everything because of this mistake. I had asked for a jump and the gentleman told me they did not do jumps. Please let me know what the law says about towing and if I would get charged for it.
I would like to use my regular auto club membership ID/number to get a free tow? I believe this is possible if you make sure that your AA membership year and mileage matches your car's year, month and mileage. For example, say you belong to Auto Club "XYZ", where XYZ is a valid auto club ID. Your car belongs to AA XXXX, where XXXX is a valid auto club ID. If your car is a 2026 model year, and AAA owns both XYZ and XXXX, then you can call AAA and have your car towed by AACan I use my own car insurance company tow my car?
Just wondering if I should have my brother drive it in his van or pay my personal insurance company tow it. I don't really know where to get it towed at.
I live on 1.5 acres and want to get the rest of my stuff moved out.
How to get a car moved?
Hi guys. I have a problem which I need help with. My friend and I have been planning to go on a road trip for the next two weeks and we want to travel as far away as possible. We have decided on doing this trip in his car and me driving. However, I am not entirely sure about how to get my car to the location we are going to. The closest train station is about 1 hour drive away and there are no buses or trains that run at night (if that matters). We are planning to leave at 11 pm on a Friday night and we want to get to our destination at around 7 am on Sunday morning. I am having trouble deciding what would be the best way to get my car to the location we are going to. I am looking for advice on how to get my car to the location we are going to and what would be the best way of getting it there. Please let me know if I can provide more information.
Thanks in advance. M
Answer: ? Your car is heavy and if you are planning to do a long distance journey it will be hard to move it by yourself. You have to hire a good moving company which will help you to get your car to its destination. If you want to make sure you hire the right moving company for you then ask the following questions: Is the moving company licensed? Are they insured? Do they use reputable equipment? Do they use environmentally safe products? Are they using green solutions? The main thing that you need to do when you are moving is to make sure you have enough time for the job.
Will the AA move my car?
My car was towed on April 25th by the police. The towing company did an excellent job, but now I'm a little worried that they might put me in the hands of a moving company and I will get my car back with damage, rather than being restored. Is this possible? What kind of damage can they do? (I really need it back, if possible.)
My car was towed on April 25th by the police. (I really need it back, if possible.)
A friend of mine had his car towed off the road by the police. When they returned it to him after inspection and the towing company confirmed all of the items were present, the towing company called him the next day and told him that they had decided to put him in their moving company's hands, and that was that. It was all fine (it was a low-speed incident) but he was furious! He went to a lawyer and he ended up with no damages to the vehicle, except a lot of bad-luck karma.
My advice: don't let them move your car unless you are willing to pay for the damage. When I protested that I had not sent them a deposit, she refused to talk to me and ended the call.
I have done some research on what happens if you refuse to pay for towing services. I thought that since the towing company is doing something that I am entitled to, there is no need for me to pay them. However, it seems that the state law says that if they tow you off the road they are entitled to "reasonable" costs. This term means it depends upon the court and what the court thinks of the situation.
