Hyundai has become over the years one of the best budget brands available. Offering people what they need, good quality products at prices they can afford.
Started in 1967 as part of it's parent company, the Hyundai Motor Company, their first cars were part of a joint venture with Ford. Then in 1975 they developed their own car, the Pony, which used engine and transmissions supplied by Mitsubushi of Japan.
It wasn't until 1991 that the company had developed it's own engines and drive train, this paved the way for independence for them. They now have a global market place with the worlds biggest car manufacturing site in Korea. In 1986 Hyundai setup a new company, Hyundai Motors India Ltd, with a large production plant near to Chenai.
Since then the company's products have become more and more popular with it's range of budget cars winning many awards for design and innovation. All of this has lead to the company now being the 5th biggest car manufacturer by sales volume in the world and is one of the Big Asian Four.
